Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 introduced at Worldwide Partner Conference

Microsoft demonstrated the functions of Dynamics NAV 2016 at a recent conference.

Small-business Microsoft Dynamics ERP users heard some exciting news at the 2015 Worldwide Partner Conference.

Redmond Channel Partner reported Microsoft MVP Mark Brummel and NAV specialist Gary Winter took the conference stage to introduce the world to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016. No official release date was given, but the presenters demonstrated how the new software updates would work and explained the key functions of the technology.

Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 performance
Improved integration and automation were two of the primary goals stated by the company. Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 works in conjunction with Power BI, Office 360 and Dynamics CRM Online. The goal is to expand the capabilities of the cloud.

MSDynamicsWorld.com detailed how presenters at the conference demonstrated Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016’s abilities and showed a roadmap for future functionality. The plan is to create a feature that automatically captures and displays customer details in a single screen. Email in Outlook is scanned for vital data and displayed on NAV running in Office 365. The information presented helps create an invoice without changing to a different interface. Customer information, product details and quote creation all worked together to process the task and send the information back to the client in seconds.

Online capabilities were at the forefront of the display. The expanded cloud functions of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 are designed for smoother operation in Office 365 and online tools. Microsoft continues its pursuit of mobile performance and has improved usability enhancements on smartphones and tablets for the new ERP software.

The sales tools are part of the “e-Everything” function. Workflow should facilitate multiple users and sources. Invoices can be created in conjunction with information from customers while third parties can add their own data source in the Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 platform.

Small-business solutions
The new release is focused on the needs of small businesses. The updated functions are designed for organizations with limited resources that need to stay competitive in a big data world.

Online performance, automatic tasks and streamlined processes speak to Microsoft’s goals for a simplified NAV. The company wanted to create a software that can be employed as quickly as possible and show ROI in shorter timeframes. The new Cloud Sure Step program is provided to ease fears of small businesses that are just beginning to transition to the cloud.

Microsoft is constantly improving products in response to customer demand and to take advantage of new technologies. Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 will be updated on a monthly basis and users should expect new releases once a year.
